THE IMPENDING DANGER 2

"as great a nation as we think we are, Nigeria is approaching a point of decision making where the process for refinement might equal that of gold if we are to survive our present predicament"

With barely 32hours to the kick off of national protests on subsidy removal by the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, other issues bothering on the minds of many is the inability of the federal government to firmly grip the excesses of the boko haram sect.
The combination of these two problems form the basic challenge of the Jonathan administration. These situations that have become so complex for the administration goes a long way to show and prove the wisdom with which the administration is handling issues. Is this the man who promised fresh air? cos the air has been nothing but cloudy for the past 8 months.
The man Ya'ardua during his tenure successfully reduced the pump price of fuel from #70 Naira to #65 Naira. Also he initiated the amnesty programme which has been able to extensively control the ever militant youth of the Niger Delta. For these and many more Ya'ardua will always be fondly rememberd. may his gentle soul rest in peace.
Not to deviate.
The recent ultimatum attacks on Christians living in the northern part of the country is another diversionary tactic of the boko haram. As their name implies, western education is a sin. What then is the crime of the Christians and innocent people the boko haram sect has finally settled its attention upon? Or have Christians been the target ever since?
The Thursday 5th of january 2012 attacks on the Deeper Life Bible Church in Adamawa, and other areas in Gombe and Yobe state which left a number of people dead and hospitalized with gunshot wounds still beats the immagination of the ordinary man as to how bizarre the motives of the boko haram group of companies is.
In addition to all these, the resolve by the 36 state governors urging Jonathan not to rescind his decision on subsidy even further attempts to make the decision more difficult for him. For a man who fears to be seen as weak, it’s now a game of a few men against millions of citizens.
The President’s speech late Saturday night via a live broadcast, was nothing but a read out script written for him by only God know who. The haste of the Government for a solution is what birth the  frenzied  confusion of decisions read out by Jonathan, which is but an afterthought due to the reactions by all Nigerians opposing the removal of fuel subsidy. All these schemes and gimmicks are mere stories for the Government to have its way, which by Gods special grace will never see the light of day
It really would be a shameful story history will tell of a man who by the makings of his own ill timed decisions and unresponsiveness to the plights of his people walked the path of destruction and changed the good name he once had.
